this is a section arn set up for people like me and alphatech who were posting on macrumors a lot and maybe got tired of either newbies and/or trolls who came to wreck our day and start flame wars
we both quit as well as possibly john123, kela, and others who i don't think i have seen for months...as well as many original macrumors folks

Have you not got an xbox 360? If you have , the game will work on your 360. I played it a couple of times when i first got my 360, but without any game saves on my 360, I couldnt be bothered to play it anymore.

Instead of a new Screen from Apple I would like to see the 23in get a lower price or a res. boost.

Apple would have no reason to disable this unless they decide to build it into Tiger and want to sell more units thereof -- and frankly, it'd be worth buying Tiger for something like that.

Yeah...
It gets confusing...
Here's what we know:
IBM will be talking about a 64-Bit PowerPC in Oct (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2002/08/20020808110527.shtml)
That is all we know for sure.
What I would rate as a reliable rumor is this:
that IBM/Apple have been in discussions about it (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2002/08/20020809122153.shtml)
beyond that, it's been pretty speculative.

He'd do fine. I do the same thing due to lack of time between life, college, and the Air Force. If I can do it, anyone can. ;)
I agree, I've played UO since 99' and ive gone through stages of just wandering around solo and hanging with guilds. In my experience once a guild gets too large it gets too political and there is too much BS around. I tend to stick to smaller guilds or on my own.
I think you will be fine, but in WoW i believe there are certain things that the devs require you team up for, i never liked the "on rails" feeling i got from WoW, i bored quickly from it.

Everyone is going to be really pissed when they offer dual G5's in January. It would be really cool if they did that, bet I bet they'd piss off a ton of people who just bought dual G4's.

Button faces don't change in either Firefox or Safari, and in safari the input field backgrounds aren't even what is set (which does work in Firefox).
Ok, I don't want to spend too much time on this but let me help you out as much as I can. If you are looking to do web site design with CSS you should really get a book. It will be a great reference when coding. With that said, you also need to do a lot of research on how CSS works with each browser. If you look at the examples I just linked to, you'll see that some of it works in NN/Firefox, some work in IE, some in both. As for Safari, you'll have to do some research to find out more. Personally, I don't code for safari. I go Firefox -> IE. That way everyone can see what I want them to see.
Go to google.com and start searching. You'll have all the answers you need in a few minuutes.

I modded mine just recently with the Wiinja chip, and it was worth every penny (even if it was a gift). :)
I'd be happy to answer any questions.

Apple's modest upgrade strategy and the uncertainty of whether a G4 is even worth it to shell out big dough for pending next year's almost certain release of the G5/whatev., I think for my purposes (audio), rather than buying the fastest CPU to do more native processing, I'm going to spend that money on a used set of Protools Mix+ cards and an i/o box and get the emagic TDM bridge software and forget I was ever even concerned with the "bleeding edge"...
Personally, I don't care whether Apple is "falling behind" or whatever; I don't work for the company, I don't own their shares, it doesn't matter. I like their products and I believe there is a big enough base of users and developers offering unique advantages on the Mac platform that it won't go bye-bye anytime soon (not to mention the company's excellent corporate management - who is also responsible for their modest upgrade strategy, at least in part, no doubt). If people stop buying their stuff, they'll be forced to go to the well of ideas and pull out another miracle. Maybe it'll even be in a cool then-retro color like bondi blue!
:D
I donno... I personally do gobs of audio work, and I must say a dual 867 system is a great value and can do a heck of a lot of natice processing. I personally love native processing, since I work primarily with Reaktor, Cubase, and Reason. :-)
If you have the money, I'd look into a dual 867 before I went protools, but that's just my opinion. It all depends what you're doing basically.
